主要从事基于功能微生物、功能材料的环境污染治理与废物资源化利用的关键新技术与理论研究,在生物制剂研发及其用于木质纤维素废物资源化、重金属污染治理领域取得了一定的创新性成果。

主要研究方向:
(1)固体废物处理与资源化;
(2)江河湖泊水环境污染修复技术与理论;
(3)环境污染治理功能微生物群落行为机制及生物制剂技术;
(4)重金属/持久性有机污染物的迁移机制及其污染治理先进技术与理论。

已主持国家自然科学基金青年科学基金项目1项、国家自然科学基金面上项目2项、湖南省环境保护科技项目1项、湖南省研究生科研创新基金项目1项、湖南大学优秀博士论文资助项目1项,作为主要参与人参与了国家水专项子项1项、国家自然科学基金重点项目1项和面上项目2项、教育部创新团队项目1项、国家“863”计划2项、湖南省科技重大专项1项等科研项目研究。

研究成果:
获2016年度湖南省自然科学奖一等奖、2008年度高等学校科学研究优秀成果奖(科学技术)技术发明奖一等奖、2007年度湖南省科技进步奖一等奖。先后在环境学科国际权威刊物Environmental Science & Technology (SCI IF=5.393)、Water Research (SCI IF=5.991)、Biosensors & Bioelectronics (SCI IF=7.476)、Bioresource Technology (SCI IF=4.917)、Journal of Hazardous Materials( SCI IF=4.836)等国际国内公开出版刊物发表科研论文90余篇,其中SCI收录63篇,EI收录72篇,ESI高被引论文6篇;获授权国家发明专利28项;参与编写著作3部。
